Scope:

This document will show you how to build a custom application for Teams.

Requirements:

Access to Enterprise Provisioning Portal

Setting up the application:
  1. Log into the TeamMate EPP
  2. Click Team Management
  3. Click Application settings.
  4. On the Application Setting screen below you will select and input the following:
    1. Team Name: This will be the name of the Microsoft Team each TMC User will be a member of for this organization.
    2. Application Name: The application name will be the name of the application in Microsoft Teams. This Application will be loaded for Team’s Users who are members of the Team created in Step 1 (above).
In the image below you can see the Application Name on the left-hand menu bar and at the top of the Application.
  5. Application Branding Icons: These are icons that will be associated with the Application in Teams. The default is the TeamMate swirl but you can change this to anything you want (your logo, the Enterprise logo, a telephone graphic, etc.) following Microsoft graphical sizing parameters (192 by 192 pixels and 32 by 32 pixels in .png format). In the image above you can see the branding icon on the left-hand menu bar and at the top of the Application in Teams.
  6. If you want to create a Tab in Teams with the End User Portal for the User you will name this Tab (i.e. End User Portal, Telephone Management, etc.). In the image above you can see an embedded portal and the Tab placement within Teams.
  7. End-User Portal URL: In the Application, there is an option to open the Portal in a browser window - outside of Teams. This URL will be the destination when that button is clicked. That button is made available when a User is looking at the End User Portal you expose to them in Teams.
  8. Call Card On/Off: This allows you to suspend the In-Call and Post-Call notification cards that appear when a call is connecting through the PBX and when a call ends in the Team Application. You can opt to add or remove these notification cards later and reload the application.
  9. Click Setup Application when you are ready.

Upon successful application provisioning, the application will be displayed on the Dashboard under Custom Teams Application
